About Bandi
Hey everyone!
My name is Bandi I am an incredible doggo. I came into care after I was kill listed in a council pound. I came to the pound as part of a hoarder job, and I was very underweight. But thankfully none of the neglect was permanent. I have absolutely thrived since coming into care! (Please note in my photos I have shaved forearms - this is nothing to worry about, it's just where they shaved to give me a drip for desex! The hair will grow back!!)
I have had all my vet work done, and currently live with 2 young children, cats, and 2 other dogs. I am a very social, gentle dog. I travel well in the car, like to play with toys, and am used to carers who leave the house during the day. I sleep outside in the garage at night, and only need a 1.5m fence so far. My leash training is going well so far!
My ideal home has another dog for company, or someone who can take me to play with dogs a few times a week at a local dog park or play dates with friends. I would love walks/outings 5 times a week. I am medium energy, but have so much fun exercising and exploring, it would be a shame if someone just put me in a backyard and left me there. I am food orientated, so while I have already learned the basics, I would quickly learn new things if you have treats handy!
I will fit easily into most homes, and am expected to grow to be a large dog, around 35kg as an adult. I should be on large breed puppy food until I am 1.5yrs old. It is not clear what I am crossed with, however my hoarder did breed a lot of bulldog x. So maybe Mastiff x Bulldog? Whatever my breed, I am a great boy, and I deserve all the love in the world. If you'd like to meet me, please contact my rescue now!
Medical notes
Healthy, happy! Am up to date with vaccinations, desexed, microchipped, and up to date with worm tick and flea treatments. Please note in my photos I have shaved forearms - this is nothing to worry about, it's just where they shaved to give me a drip for desex! The hair will grow back!

Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
