About Buster
PLEASE NOTE - Sadly Buster has come back into foster care because he ended up with separation anxiety at his new home, so he needs training to fix this.
Our foster carers have started this training but it will need to continue with Busters new owners.
Single dog home
Older children only.
Hi my name is Buster and as you can see I’m a very handsome boy. Sadly I need a new home because my owner passed away which has made me very sad because we really loved each other, he used to walk me everyday and I even slept on his bed with him. I won't be able to do that in my new home because I need special training to help with my anxiety which has no doubt been caused with loosing my owner and going from one home to another.
I’m used to having someone home a lot so I would like to go to a home where I’ve got company most of the day, I would just like to have the life I used to have with my previous owner.
I’m house trained, I know how to sit, I’m good on the lead, I’m good with other dogs at the park but I can be boisterous, I’ve never lived with another dog and can play rough which means I'm best off going to a single dog home. I like riding in the car and looking out the window.
I haven’t lived with children and I can jump up so it's best I go to a home with older children because I don’t want to knock little ones over. I’m scared of thunderstorms & fireworks like a lot of dogs are. I have been known to take myself for a walk if a door is left open so you would need to be careful of that! I love my cuddles and belly rubs, I love to fetch the ball and play with toys.
I’ve had my behavioural assessment and I went very well.
At the moment I’m in foster care with a really lovely couple, my temporary dad takes me to watch the local footy on the weekend, it’s really fun because there’s lots of people that want to pat me.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
Please go to Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application. The link is in the comments below my posting.

and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
