About Winter
Would you like this beautiful, bouffy girl to be your next best, and most loyal companion?
Winter loves all the people she has met since she's been in our care and is very keen to find that special person(s) all to herself so she can lie at their feet as they relax in front of the TV. She is a complete sook, and would be a lap dog if she could, but has obviously learned that a rather overweight Siberian Husky doesn't fit!
Now 7 years old, Winter likes outings and going for walks, but at a rather leisurely pace. She is unconcerned with other dogs she comes across, and responds obediently to commands.
In care, Winter has started to lose a bit of her flab through diet and increasing the length of walks, which should alleviate her arthritis. Her diet now also includes some vitamin and zinc supplements. Her new owner should be able to follow through on these changes to secure Winter's improved condition.
Winter will bring joy and love to any home. But - given her size and breed - her home cannot have small children, nor animals already resident, and the yard should be enclosed.
Winter is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed. She has been thoroughly vet checked (who also determined that the cloudy look of her eyes is not cataracts).

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
