About Leah 💜
Leah is an absolute sweetheart....she's almost 7yrs old and a Brindle Pied Frenchie. Leah is in care with another Frenchie (Ivy, who is also available for Adoption) and 6 host dogs (various ages and sizes) and gets along great with everyone. We are hoping to find this beautiful girl a home with another Frenchie or smaller breed dog. Don't let her age fool you into thinking she's a senior either.....Leah is quite an active girl when she's in the mood for a good run and play.
Leah is a quiet, friendly and submissive girl. She will quickly become your little shadow and very much enjoys to snuggle on your lap. She adores her people, and a home where she had the company of her humans and a little doggie companion, would certainly be her dream home. Leah absolutely loves her toys (squeaky toys especially) and balls!
Due to their 'screw' tails, they are susceptible to a condition known as 'hemivertebra of the spine'. When hemivertebra is present in your dog’s tail, it typically is not an issue. When it is in their spine, it can lead to serious problems. The deformity of the vertebrae will lead to a twisting of the spine which can compress your dog’s spinal cord. Hemivertebra can be minor, where only one or two vertebrae have the deformity and the dog does not experience any clinical signs. In some cases, the dog will experience minor symptoms; in other cases, the condition will significantly impact the dog’s ability to function.
Leah has been tested for Hemivertebrae of the spine and she has been given the all clear with her X-rays. As with any French Bulldog though, jumping on/off beds and couches, leaping in the air to grab the frisbee or ball, or any activities that involve twisting of the spine, should be avoided. Leah has also had her nares widened and soft palate done while in for Desex. She is in great health and shown no signs of food intolerances or allergies.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
So if you've done your research and decided that you can provide everything this girl needs, please send us an enquiry. Leah has had all her vet work completed and now ready to head off to her forever home. She is located in Wyee Point on the Central Coast, NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
