About Skittles
Hi There! My name is Skittles and I am embarking on a special journey to find my forever home. Everyone tells me that I am special myself because I am hearing impaired and a slight sight impairment as well. Doesn't seem to bother me at all, I don't realise I am different. It does me my forever home will need to ensure they are informed about how to train a special dog like me using hand signals, but the ladies at AdoptADane can hook you up with a trainer to help!
I get REALLY excited when I meet new dogs, but I am quick to calm down, so I would need to meet your existing dog to check I get along well with them and they can handle me being so excited and in their face initially. I also live with an older small breed dog, but I get quite pushy with the little one. If I was to go to a home with a small dog I would need to ensure that we are separated when unattended so I don't get too over zealous! Being a typical Dane, I forget my size.
If you have those little furry things called cats, I would need a gradual introduction and for them to be separated initially. I've never lived with one, so we have to be super careful as I have some next door and Im not overly a big fan of them. I will need secure fencing of 5 foot or higher to keep me inside the yard and safe. I am great with kids and enjoy their company too!
Overall, I am an affectionate sweet girl just looking for the right family. Unless my family are home a lot, I would prefer a doggy brother to keep me company. I do get a bit stress when left alone. Other than that and typical young Dane destructive behaviours, I would fit in a lovely family very easily.
