Colbie

Cool Cat Colbie is a 14-month-old female tortie. She loves to talk to her human, play with her foster carer's resident cats and she loves to play on her scratching post to pass the time. Colbie is fully litter trained, and will sit contently when getting her nails trimmed.

Colbie's ideal forever home is one with older children who are versed in cat language, or a home where she is the sole fur baby and can be completely spoilt.

Colbie is still learning that human presence and touch can be 'nice', so she needs a forever family who can be patient with her as she warms to them and gets accustomed to the love they want to shower over her. Colbie needs to know you are non-threatening - best done by getting down to her level and offering belly rubs and chin rubs - she will let you know when she has had enough with gentle 'love bites'.
When Colbie shows signs of anxiety or stress, placing her in a quiet room with the soothing sound of the radio will calm her, this also helps when being left alone for periods at a time.
