About **Applications Closed** Coco
Murry River Retriever Cross Breed
Hi my names coco and I'm two years old. Lately I've been feeling a bit sad and confused because someone very dear to me has gone to Heaven, but the nice people at Scruffer Lovers have found me a foster mummy and they are going to find me a really great home.
I went to see my doctor because I've been really nervous and scared. That nice doctor gave me some medicine to make me feel calmer. The good news is I don't have to be on the medication forever, just until I'm a confident dog again and I'm not scared anymore. My foster mum is helping me build my confidence and teaching me to be more relaxed. I still have a little way to go but I am ready to start my new journey with my forever family.
My foster mum says I cannot be around small children (she calls me a bull being let out of a gate as I can be a bit clumsy and too rough for small kiddies, so teenagers only for me).
I'm going to need regular walks (that’s for sure) so put your sneakers on and let's get walking. Mental simulation will also need to be a big part of my life as I am a bright spark and need to keep my brain working.
I will suit a home where my mum or dad are home a lot (or work part time or work from home) because I get sad and cry a bit to begin with, when you leave me alone.
I would suit a home that has no other dogs because I'm going to need time to adjust, but please can I have play dates to keep me socialised? I do get nervous around other dogs so slow introductions would be best for me.
I really need to find a home that is very calm because I get so excited sometimes and don't know what I'm doing. I will need some training, but I do have basic commands and I tap on the door if I need to go out to potty (aren’t I a clever boy!). Oh, and more good news - I won't ruin your backyard and I can be trusted inside the house (I won't damage anything or have accidents as I’m toilet trained).
Let me tell you a secret. I am a bit of a food thief and don't tell my foster mum I have stolen food from her dinner plate when she wasn’t looking.
Over all I'm a big goofy boy who will need to spend lots of time inside with my new family, and I will definitely need to sleep next to my new mum or dad because cuddles in the morning are the best thing and being in the dark is scary.
So, come on what are you waiting for? In time I will be the best dog in the whole wide world.
Hope to meet you soon,
Coco xxx
