Medical Notes - As you can see, Nutsy has one eye. Her other eye was removed due to damage that occurred as a baby. Nutsy also had severe cat flu when she joined our rescue at 3 weeks of age. She hasn't had any further flare ups whilst in care but it is possible she could flare up in times of stress of illness. Nutsy also has some inflamed gums which she has been on some medications for. Her teeth need to be reassessed at 12 months of age and she may need to have a few removed to help her mouth long term. This isn't needed at the moment, and will be discussed in detail with interested families. Due to Nutsy's white fur and pink nose and ears, she MUST be INDOOR ONLY in her new home with small amounts of time in an indoor enclosure if available.
Well finally the day has come for our little girl to start looking for her forever family. Nutsy joined our rescue with her siblings when she was a tiny 3 week old kitten, after being found in a garden centre. She was suffering from severe flu, weighed 150gms and was in the worst condition out of her siblings. Nutsy spend the first week in care with her eyes swollen shut so badly that we feared she would never see again. With medications and around the clock care our little girl could finally see for what was probably the first time in her short life. Her eye was removed due to damage from the flu when she was a baby.
Nutsy's siblings have all found their forever homes, but she was held back due to some teeth problems and a bought of illness. She is now a chubby little girl who is an absolute delight to have around at HandiHQ. Nutsy is a very gentle and loving girl who adores cuddling with her humans. She's the first one to say hi to house guests, and graciously strolls around keeping up with the action. She loves to play with her toys, but isn't that crazy kitten keeping you up at night. She will be found fast asleep next to you, or trying to sleep on top of you in bed.
Nutsy has grown up at HandiHQ with other friendly cats and kittens who she absolutely adores socialising with. She will not be rehomed to a home without another friendly cat to keep her company. Nutsy has also grown up with dogs, and has no problems dealing with a bit of hustle and bustle. Nutsy would be suited to a home with children due to her gentle and calm nature.
Conditions of adoption:
• Nutsy's new owner must bring her into our partnered vet clinic in Aspley at 12 month of age for a check up of her teeth. The visit cost will be included in her adoption fee. This is to check her gums and to let you know whether she may require teeth to be removed. If she does require teeth to be removed, this will be covered by our rescue group.
• Nutsy must be kept indoors only, unless a secure outdoor enclosure is provided (which she loves).
• Nutsy will have another friendly cat in her forever home. She will not be rehomed as an only cat.
• A warm Foxtel box for her to sit on in her new home is preferred. This condition is coming from Nutsy herself. How else does one warm her soft little bottom?
• Her new family must keep in touch with us as to how she is going. Our girl has touched our hearts and will be missed by all at HandiHQ.
Please message our page and provide us with your email address if you would like to know more information about our little girl, or to arrange a meet and greet. ❤❤
