Axel ~ Border Collie X Cattle (on trial 11/9/19)

Still a puppy, Axel is one of the sweetest boys going around. He is a Border Collie x Cattle who enjoys attention and loves to reward you with snuggles and cuddles.

Axel thrives on attention and he wants to be your bestest buddy. He loves following his foster family members around, 2 of which are children (11 & 9) and a fur sibling of similar size. Even with extra children around, Axel plays well with all. I've been told he has played well with children as young as 3, but whilst with us the youngest playdate we have had was 5 and she adored Axel. He isn’t a big jumper, but if he does jump on you he is always very gentle about it and everyone comments how gentle he is.

Like every growing boy, Axel loves his food and he will let you know when he is hungry, running to where his food is giving you a little reminder just in case you are going to forget, he may even do that after his eaten probably trying his luck.

He loves going for walks and has improved in leaps and bounds. Needs work socialising with other dogs outside his home environment but very friendly to every human he meets. I will only walk Axel with a harness as he is very strong. But in saying that I am a middle age woman who is walking two active breeds at once.

Axel sits on command and is slowly learning to wait until called. He is almost toilet trained. Doing very well now when inside. Just needs a little reminder every hour to avoid accidents. If I leave the door open he will go out himself.

Axel comes from a home where someone is home most of the time and he has his fur brother to play with too. Currently he is glamping outside undercover on a trampoline full of pillows and blankets. He does come in during the day when we are home and is allowed to make himself at home on the couch for snuggles. He has just been desexed so we are going to trial him inside for the next couple of nights to see how he goes.

Axels is looking for his forever home where someone is home with him the majority of time. If it's not human company another fur sibling of similar size would be great. He loves children and would fit into any family where he is allowed to participate in family activities. He would also make a great running companion. Once he has had some good active fun he is more than happy to take it easy and rest.

With a little time and training Axel will be the perfect family companion who will steal your heart for life.

Axel's adoption fee is $500 and covers his desexing, vaccinations, treatment for fleas and worms, microchipping, and lifetime registration.
