About Goldie
Goldie was saved from the pound very underweight and confused. She was an unclaimed pet as she didn’t do what the owner wanted.
When coming into care it was noted very early on that this poor girl showed signs of OCD, pacing the yard, chasing little bugs through the air and yapping at the air. The only time she would stop was on lead or to eat and even then her brain was still going a million miles an hour.
Since being in care Goldie has put weigh on and is showing less sever signs of OCD, her pacing has slowed and we are using crate time to both train her and rest her. She’s great in the crate, will sleep all night without moving and knows when bed time is called that she needs to go to her crate to rest. Apart from being underweight Goldie’s only other issue is her teeth are very dirty, she is now getting used to her teeth being brushed to help clean them up.
Goldie has many short training sessions throughout the day, this helps her keep focus and helps slow her mind down. She is often on a lead so she can be redirected if she starts to pace again.
Goldie is even discovering how fun it is to play with other dogs. Wrestling is her favourite and along with the help of her foster sibling she is learning how to be a dog, she has chased the ball a few times but still working on bringing it back. Good with children, dogs and cats.
She will need ongoing training and guidance but feel she will come back from this and be able to learn to live a normal life.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
