About Belle SUA004114
Belle is a delightful lady and has been waiting for her purrfect home for far too long, so we decided to give her a break from the shelter environment and place her with a foster carer.
From her Foster Home –Belle is a delightful girl I have fostered for 5 weeks, and over that time I have come to understand her well. The first thing you notice about Belle is that she is exceptionally beautiful. Amazing patches of color which give her the loveliest coat, and her incredible clear and lovely eyes are arresting and entrancing. Whilst she is cautious, she is not scared, just careful. She is a very intelligent cat. She immediately showed that she is also immensely affectionate and would love to have her own home. Straight away she decided she wanted to sleep on my bed which made me so happy. She is fastidiously clean and will stress if her litter is unacceptable. She does not like being patted on the hear or from behind as she feels threatened. It will take about 10 days for her to totally relax and make herself at home, then you will see how playful and affectionate she truly is.
If you are interested in more information on Belle or to meet her please give us a call on 8457 6500 for a chat.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri and 10am and 3pm Sat-Sun.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need
