Danny ~ Kelpie X Whippet (on trial 22/7/19)

Hi my name is Danny and I am a 9 month old Kelpie X Whippet and I’m pretty handsome if I do say so myself. I have got lovely long legs and my looks are dominantly Kelpie but there are also subtle hints of Whippet markings.

I am looking for a family that loves the outdoors. I am full of energy and love to go on long walks or chase balls at the park. I walk really well on the lead and am not bothered by traffic noise. I like to see other doggos being walked by their owners but am happy to mind my own business. I would like a nice big yard to explore if that’s ok and someone who can walk me twice a day please so I don’t get bored and look for other things to do that you might not be happy about.

I can’t remember much about my life before I moved in with my foster carers or why I couldn’t stay there but that’s okay because I am just excited about the next chapter and hope to find a permanent home very soon.

I haven’t been to obedience school but I come when called, have learnt to sit on command and am learning some other basic commands which is fun. I think I’m pretty smart so it’s fun to learn new things. I really like my foster family’s dogs – I play with the little one a lot and we are good friends but as long as I get plenty of exercise I don’t mind being your one and only.

I do like to sleep inside where it is warm and I really like sitting with my humans when they watch tv at night. During the day I am happy inside or out because I am house trained and won’t make a mess. I guess you could call me a people person, oops dog. I love cuddles and even though I am quite big I’m not very heavy so if you let me I’ll happily sit with you.

I haven’t been to the beach with my foster family but they have this little pool in the backyard for the dogs to cool off in and I got in there the other day and that was nice so a visit to the beach might be nice.

Danny's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
