About Hugo ~ Border Collie X Staffy (on trial 20/7/19)
Foster carers are biased, but ... Hugo the 9 week old Border Collie cross Staffy is just about as perfect and cute and derpy as lolloping puppy’s can get. Hugo is the last of his litter and has been having the best time hanging with the big dogs, but it’s time for his new family to find him.
Hugo has big feet! We expect he will be the height of a Border Collie, but stockier in the body and have a broader head. He is doing a great job learning household routines and now sleeps through the night in his crate. He has loose rolly skin at the moment and looks like his coat will be medium length with some waves along his back and tail.
He loves to play with toys and simply adores his big foster sister. An amazing family without other dogs will be considered, but we really think he would much prefer an older dog to play and snuggle with. This pup truly has the coolest temperament. He is learning to walk with a harness and lead and is a confident little pup out in public.
His family will need to commit to appropriate training and socialisation in his first 12 months, to teach him how to live his best life. He will also need a very secure yard and someone MUST be home to give him 4 feeds a day until he reaches 16 weeks. This is a non negotiable for a pup his age. We also ask applicants to please, seriously think through the commitment and the time needed to adopt and train a staffy cross puppy. All pups bite, dig and chew as they explore their world, its part of the deal. The snuggles make it worth it!
