About Hitch
Hitch a ride with this stunning fella and begin an adventure! This eye catching young lad will absolutely melt your heart with his antics...
Hitch is a puppy in an adult body. He jumps around and chases balls, plays with teddies, looooves squeaky toys and treats. He actually even looks like a puppy with his body movements when he does this! Hitch also has the maturity of a puppy, which can be a bit of a challenge, considering he’s got the 50kg body of an adult male Malamute. He can be bossy, demanding and doesn’t have a lot of manners when he doesn’t get his way immediately.
Hitch is very strong and doesn’t have great lead manners, especially when he see’s other dogs, he turns into a right boot head. Hitch is however, super motivated to work for rewards, so some consistent, balanced training will polish his behaviour into that of a gentleman.
Hitch has previously had his coat shaved and it wasn’t cared for properly afterwards, so he needs a home committed to weekly brushing and grooming. He can be a little touchy around his ears if he thinks your up to something but he overcomes that suspicion if you offer him a treat!
This big boy can only go to a breed experienced family, with no other dogs or animals in the home. His new folks must be committed to attending weekly obedience training and daily walks. Because he hasn’t yet learned that no one appreciates this big boofa jumping up on them, Hitch wouldn’t be suitable for a home with young children. Dig-proof, secure 6 foot high fencing is a must.
So if your ready for some puppy/giant fluff/typical Malamute in your life and have had plenty of experience with the stubborn-minded Malamute breed, please contact us! Hitch is currently in a shelter and is seeking foster or adoption.
In summary, Hitch will need:
A breed experienced family
