About Louise
Hey everyone, my name is Louise and I am searching for my second chance. I arrived into BVAR care with 3 other cats. We had all been surrendered at a regional pound together and kill listed. Apparently the house we were from had 20 cats in total all in cages!
I arrived with an extremely bad flea burden. I had had fleas for so long that my body was covered in scabs and sores from trying to scratch them away. My foster mum quickly treated my fleas and I started to feel better straight away. I also had a belly full of worms and was quite under weight, as well as ringworm. Then to top it all off I came down with cat flu. I haven't had the best run but it's all up from here.
I was very scared when I first arrived in care. I didn't trust people and would spend my days hiding and running away from any one that tried to come near me. It didn't take me long though before I knew I could trust my new foster mum and now she can't get rid of me! I have blossomed into a very affectionate and loving girl, though I can still get startled easily.
I am only a baby and have my whole life ahead of me, so it's only the best for me now! I am looking for a nice home that is calm and quiet. A home with no children, or older kids that won't harrass me is ideal. I am great with other cats but have not been exposed to dogs since being in care.
I am a very clean girl that always uses my kitty litter and never makes a mess. I like to spend my days sunning myself, cuddling and I am still quite a playful kitty so lots of toys are a must!
I have a very big scratching pole in my foster home and it's my favourite thing ever, so hopefully my new family can get me one of those!
I haven't had the nicest start to life. I didn't receive the right veterinary care, nor human interaction. Luckily I am a sweet girl and I know not all people are bad. I'd make the perfect companion so don't miss out on me!
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
