About Picnic
*Available to adopt from 19/07/2019, subject to vet work*
Hey everyone, my name is Picnic and I am on of 6 puppies that make up the Chocolate Box Litter. We arrived into care from a regional pound. We arrived with bellies full of worms and no confidence. It's pretty obvious that before we ended up in the pound, we had very limited human interaction.
I am the most confident out of my litter. I am happy to run up for cuddles and pats and am very independent throughout the day when my carer is at work. I am quite sassy and have a vibrant personality. You can already tell that I am going to be an energetic dog when I grow up as my body never stops moving! Sometimes I can be a bit bossy, so it may be helpful for me to have an older, wiser dog around to keep me in line and show me how to be a good girl.
I love toys. All toys. Any toys. Fluffy ones, squeaky ones, puzzle ones. My new home must make sure that I always have lots and lots of toys to play with.
I spend my days outside and sleep inside where it is nice and warm at night. My toilet training is going well in fact I rarely have an accident inside! I currently live with other dogs and cats and I love everyone.
I am extremely smart. I have settled into routine nicely so I know when it is dinner time, bed time etc.
Due to my breed mix, I am expected to be a medium sized dog, with high energy. I am not a dog that you can throw in the back yard and leave for long hours at a time. My ideal home will be with someone that is going to include me in every day life. I will be allowed inside, be taken for walks and to the dog park, and given lots of socialising, enrichment and stimulation. Big bonus if I will be enrolled in Puppy Preschool and dog training courses.
I am as beautiful on the inside as I am on the outside. But before you apply to adopt me, please consider my needs. I won't be the perfect dog for everyone but I know there is a family out there for me!
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
