Jordy ~ Maltese X Shih Tzu (on trial 16/7/19)

Hi! My name is Jordy and I am a 9 year old Maltese x Shi Tzu. I am a sweet little man and I just love being with you, my human, and will happily stay quietly by your side all day and night. Being on my own makes me sad, and I will cry and sometimes bark to get you back again. I came into care through no fault of my own, my owner had to go into a nursing home. I miss her very much, and would love you to give me all your love and reassure me that you won’t leave me as well.

If people come to the door, I will do my duty and bark to let you know, and if anyone walks past I will quietly let out a few little wuffs to let you know about that too.

I don’t like car rides much, and will cry the whole time. If we park on the street, I like to bark at people walking past to let them know that I’m there!

Walks get me so excited, and I just want to rush all over the place and see and smell everything. Belly rubs make me so happy too. I don’t mind if you want to pick me up and hold me either.

I am a reasonably polite dog, even though I haven’t been trained in the past. My foster mama has taught me to sit, and sometimes I will even do it for her! I would love to continue my training with a loving new human or humans.

I get along well with other dogs and cats after a proper introduction, but would love to be the only dog in my household so I can soak up all the love you have for me. If other dogs start to bark at me, I will definitely stick up for myself and bark back, but I never instigate such interactions.

I would suit a retired single or couple - someone who likes to hang out with me a lot, and has time to take me for long walks. I need to be with someone who’s happy to have me sleep on the bed, or at least in the same room, and to keep me inside the house all the time.

Jordy's adoption fee is $300 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
