About Millie & Olive (Bonded Pair)
Millie (3.5yrs) & Olive (6.5yrs) have become inseparable since being fostered together, and we would love nothing more than to find them their perfect forever home, together. They have learnt to interact calmly with smaller animals and pocket pets as they are currently sharing their foster home with a kitten, older cat and bunny rabbit. They are gently playful with them and never shown any aggression towards them.
Both Millie and Olive enjoy spending lots of time cuddling with their humans on the lounge. If they see you approaching the lounge, the race will be on to get prime position on your lap! They somehow manage to make themselves both fit and curl up comfortably together for a snooze.
There isn't a moment where they aren't together. They also seem to bring out the best in each other. Olive (although a little older than Millie) is the more active of the 2, but Millie does calm her down. Olive on the other hand has boosted Millie's confidence with people, so together they really are the perfect little package. Olive has also taught Millie how to play fetch and whilst Millie likes to race Olive to retrieve the ball, Olive will always be the one to bring it back!
These sweet girls are suited to a home with or without children. They enjoy spending time smooching up to people of all sizes, but do prefer their mum and dad for cuddles. They both listen to instruction and respond when told 'no'. Both are friendly and curious with other dogs, but definitely have a special bond together.
Millie suffers from a skin allergy and is on a strict diet of Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food, so Olive has also been eating the same while in care. A medical history of her medications can be obtained from our vet so this can be managed ongoing.
We would LOVE to see these girls stay together because they have adjusted so well to life in a family environment together. They keep each other company when their humans are at work and provide just the right amount of comfort and socialisation for each other to keep them calm and feeling secure.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learnt, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
Due to their 'screw' tails, they are susceptible to a condition known as 'hemivertebra of the spine'. When hemivertebra is present in your dog’s tail, it typically is not an issue. When it is in their spine, it can lead to serious problems. The deformity of the vertebrae will lead to a twisting of the spine which can compress your dog’s spinal cord. Hemivertebra can be minor, where only one or two vertebrae have the deformity and the dog does not experience any clinical signs. In some cases, the dog will experience minor symptoms; in other cases, the condition will significantly impact the dog’s ability to function.
The French Bulldog is by no means an athlete or flyball champion! Any activities that involve twisting of the spine are not recommended.
So if you've done your research and decided that this breed is for you, please send us an enquiry. Millie and Olive have had all their vet work done and now ready to head off to their forever home. They are located in Lake Haven on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
