About Beau
Hey everyone, my name is Beau. I have been in foster care for a few months now. I was found as a stray with no microchip. All efforts to try and find my family failed so now that my time is up, I have received my vet work and it's about time I started looking for a new family now.
I was found sitting outside a regional bus stop out of town on a very, very cold morning. Someone posted that I was there but that I wouldn't approach anyone and was very scared. Four hours later, the BVAR founder saw the post and went for a drive. I was still there. I hadn't moved at all. It took me a while to warm up, luckily she had food and I was very hungry. She eventually got me in the car and took me for a drive to safety. It then took a good few minutes to get me out of the car again! But it didn't take long for me to stop being scared and start wagging my tail.
No one really knows how I ended up sitting where I was for so long, or how long I really waited there for. Was I dumped? Did a gate blow open and I did some exploring and got lost? No one knows. All I know is that since being in foster care, my confidence has grown a lot. I still have a long way to go, but I have improved so much.
I get a long great with other dogs and I adore people once I have had time to warm up to them. I am terrified of cats but as you can see from some of my photos I LOVE tiny humans. I love how they smell, I love looking after them. I am extremely gentle with everyone so you don't need to be worried about my size.
I do require decent 6 foot fencing to keep me in. If I do go out, I don't go anywhere, I just like to watch everyone from the front of the house, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Once I warm up, I have a very goofy personality. I really am a special guy and I would love to find a patient and understanding human or humans. I would suit a tradie, or someone I can go to work with (or someone that works from home) young families or even retirees looking for a larger companion.
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
