Meet Cheddar! Cheddar made his way to the RSCPA through no fault of his own and is now searching for his new fur-ever home. Cheddar is a sweet, affectionate and active cat that was initially quite scared when he arrived at the shelter. Now he is a brand new cat! He is very social, interactive and smoochy, and enjoys receiving pats from those who visit him. Cheddar has lived with children as young as 6, however, any children living within the household must come into the shelter to meet Cheddar before any adoption processes can take place. It is recommended that Cheddar find a home that is committed to taking care of his pale complexion, as he is more susceptible to sunburn. This means keeping Cheddar indoors where possible, and ideally, having a cat run or secure outdoor area for Cheddar to explore (he is known to have a high prey drive). Cheddar has lived with other cats and dogs before and, if he were to live with them again, will need a slow and controlled introduction to them.
