About Lysa & Robin
Faux Squishy mother and son Orientals, 4yo Lysa and 2yo Robyn have been making excellent progress on their timidness and trust issues in foster care and are now ready to take the next step in their journey. We are looking for a forever or even initially, a 'foster with a view to adopt' home for Lysa and Robin together, where they will always remain together.
Lysa and Robin looking for a mature home that understands that until finding rescue, we believe they were rarely handled breeding cats who had no idea what it was like to be loved family members. They will take time to adjust and to learn to trust, but they have so much love to give to a home that is patient and understanding with them.
While Lysa and Robin would be happy to live with an existing cat/s, they really only need each other and would be happy to be the only pets in their forever home.
This is what their current foster mum has to say about them!
"Robin -
Boofy boy Robin is all legs. The pitter-patter of his paws is more like the trotting of horse-hooves when he gallops through the house. He is nervous yet immediately affectionate, and sometimes quite demanding for his pats. He will throw himself into your lap for a back massage, but just as quickly dart off to go investigate things. If you're a good enough slave he will stick his tongue out for you in delight, and if you are not he will pull your hand towards him for more vigorous kneading.
Lysa -
Lysa has the unfortunate condition known as "RBF" (Resting B**ch Face). It is not known why this develops in cats (or humans for that matter) but her heavy brow gives her a permanent look of disgust with you. While there is no known cure for "RBF", thankfully there are no medical costs or treatments associated with the affliction and in fact, it's actually quite entertaining! ;)
Other than that, Lysa is a smoochy lap cat stuck in a scaredy-cat's body. She desperately wants someone to sit with on the couch and with patience and time she has slowly come out of her shell. She will really reward someone one day with her love and affection if she is allowed to become comfortable. She is also very playful and curious, and has wicked faux bird-catching skills. "
Lysa and Robin are in care in Glenroy.
