About Captain
Captain is a great little dog. Though small in stature she is big in personality. She loves to be in the thick of the action, and would be a great dog for the beach or the dog park, where she can run around like mad and play chasey and play-fights with other dogs. She is a good girl with recall and wants to please, so will be easy to train too. Her natural style is to just trot along with you. She just wants her own person to bond to and will be a very loyal companion.
Captain has come to us from a remote Allewaerre community in the Barkly region of the NT. She came to us with 6 little pups who are her younger brothers and sisters. A local had taken them in to care for them and she just tagged along. She is called Captain because she was the captain of the puppies, corralling them, playing with them, and occasionally telling them off. Captain is full grown at 13 kg, but needs a home where she will get plenty of exercise and stimulation.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Captain's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Captain is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.

We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption.
