Dougie

Dougie is just a shade smaller than his brother Cooper and just as handsome. He is a loving little boy, and very cooperative. He has been easy to teach and no trouble at all to manage. Dougie, like all the pups in his litter, is extremely well socialized with people of all ages, and plays nicely with school-age children. With a medium exercise requirement and a happy, confident personality, he will make a great family dog. He would also be great with a playful, kind adult dog, as he has been mixing very well with the big dogs in the home. Dougie is a very clever boy and a very sweet nature.

Dougie comes from a litter of 6 born in a remote Alyawere community in the Barkly region of the Northern territory. His family left town with the parent dogs, and left the puppies in the care of a local worker, who loved them and raised them. She had to leave suddenly, so this beautiful little crew came into care with us. They have been a pleasure to care for, and are ready to go out and make their marks in the world.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Dougie's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Dougie is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
