About Tofu
Tofu was handed into Nepean Animal Hospital at only 4 weeks of age with potential signs of cat flu. He was treated by our vets and was in the care of Makayla one of our nurses. With lots of love and TLC Tofu gained weight and in good health. Whilst he was in care, we noticed that Tofu wasn’t reacting to noise, our vets performed some listening tests and confirmed that Tofu wasn’t able to hear.
Although this seems like his life will never be the same, this has never stopped him in doing everyday life tasks. Tofu is by far the sweetest boy and his cuddles are by far the best! Due to him not being able to hear you coming as soon as he sees you the excitement is next level!
Tofu needs to be strictly in- doors only, due to him not being able to hear on coming traffic or other animals around him, we need his new family to please ensure he is always inside.
Tofu comes fully litter trained, vaccinated, desexed, flea treated and wormed.
Medical notes
As mentioned above, Tofu is fully vaccinated, had his microchip and desexing surgery. He has also been kept up to date with flea and worm prevention. He did unfortunately have a strain of ringworm however with the correct treatment and some time in the isolation ward he is as good as new.
He is completely deaf and will need to be a strict INDOOR ONLY cat
Adoption details
Please take the time to browse through some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption. Keep in mind that we have many other cats that have not yet made it to this page who are looking for their forever homes. If you don't find the pet you're looking for we encourage you to contact our clinic directly on (02) 47333456 and leave your details with the adoption coordinator.
Please be advised that we do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for them is too high to keep up-dating. However, we always have lots of new kittens in the program looking for their purr-fect family.
Our adoption process includes a meet and greet with our adoption coordinator and the kitten or cat(s) you are interested in adopting. This is where you can ask any questions you might have and discuss the suitability of this pet to your lifestyle, and all the inclusions of the adoption fee.
