About Chopper ~ Cattle Dog X (on trial 8/8/19)
Looking for an old mate to be your companion? Great, here is Chopper! This handsome old Cattle Dog is 12 years and 8 months old.
Chopper found himself in a local pound which we found very sad and decided to break him out of there and find him a good home to spend the rest of his days.
You can tell Chopper has been a looker in his day and has got better with age, a bit like Sean Connery.
Now don’t be fooled by his age, Chopper still has plenty of get up and go and likes nothing more than a run especially with some other dogs but at the same time enjoys sitting and warming himself at the heater and watching a bit of telly.
Chopper, we think, doesn’t hear too well. That or he is choosing to ignore us. I suppose at his age he thinks he is allowed that luxury!
Chopper likes to explore so requires good fencing and we think having a furry mate might be good for him, maybe a girlfriend! Equally he would enjoy someone home and potting around the yard.
Chopper does take a few days to settle and tends to like to mark his territory but does settle down. Due to him not hearing too well, he tends to growl a little or air snap if startled so for this reason we feel no children is a good idea. He really would suit a retired gentleman who likes to garden so he can just hang out.
If you are interested in meeting Chopper please contact Sharron on sstudley3@gmail.com who is taking all enquiries for him. He is located with his carer at Cessnock and is not available for adoption interstate. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Chopper's adoption fee is $150 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
