About ⚜ Timmy ⚜
Timmy, (or as I think he should be called – Lord Tetley Timmington! 😜) is a very regal 7yo Himalayan x Ragdoll, who has been in care since February.
Poor Timmy arrived a very sick boy and his foster family have done an amazing job, bringing him back to health. On arrival Timmy was terribly underweight, had skin issues and horribly irritated eyes. After months of trial and error, finding foods Timmy could and would eat and finally getting his eyes healthy (he does have mild nystagmus, which does affect his eyesight, but he manages very well) we thought Timmy was ready to find a forever home.
Devastatingly though, while doing a few final tests to make sure Timmy was healthy and adoption ready, we discovered that he is in stage 2 renal failure. ☹
This means that he now needs to start a renal diet and will need to continue to eat prescription renal food for the rest of his life. As for how long that will be, we really have no idea. Apart from his kidneys, Timmy is now healthy and happy, so it will all depend how fast his kidneys deteriorate, but there’s no reason to think Timmy doesn’t have years of love and handsomeness to offer!
Timmy is happy to co-exist with other cats, but would be just as happy as an only cat.
He would love a secure outdoor area to sun himself, but would be fine as an indoor only cat too.
Timmy is in care in Hawthorn East
Medical notes
Timmy goes to his new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated. Timmy is in early stage renal failure and will need to be fed prescription renal food.
