About Finn
Introducing Finn the Dancing Dog! He leaps, he prances, he tap dances... If you think Dobby the House Elf is gorgeous you will love Finn, the adorable leggy goofball. He's a wolfhound crossed with a bull arab (australian breed). With his slimline body, whippy tail with the cute white tip, classic brindle markings and little white socks and white blaze, wolfhound snout and droopy ears, Finn is adorably weird looking.
Finn has a few issues after being abandoned by his previous owners, one of which is a complete lack of regard for personal space - he just wants to be close to you! So close it's downright uncomfortable with 30kg of bony dog sitting on your lap or taking over your couch or bed. He is getting better but it can be a bit much for people who are timid or scared of dogs. So that's the bad, but here's far more good to this handsome boy! He's house & crate trained, he barks enthusiastically when someone comes to the door, he'll fetch and bring back balls, his run is ridiculously funny and has to be seen to be believed.
Finn adores people (see above re: personal space), loves his current foster carers cats (and has a crop of scratches on his muzzle from Mr Biggles the resident bastard cat), plays with the kittens (his best friend in the house is the tiny litter ginger tomcat Mr Mustard), completely ignores his carers chickens and loves to play with other big dogs who come to visit.
Finn would suit a family with older kids or teenagers, he needs his own pack with a firm pack leader (mum or dad) and puppies to play with (hey kids, that's you!). He'd be ecstatic if there was another large dog to play with (and learn boundaries & manners from), and cats ... well he'll do his best to make friends with them! Space would be ideal for him to run around in with doggy pals. Finn is still learning to walk on a lead; the carer is currently using a halti to manage the excited pulling that happens when walkies are in progress.
Finn is an ideal family dog, are you the family for him?
Finn is a healthy raw fed dog who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000010799410). He is available for adoption right now! Source code: EE101165
