About Byron
Byron is a typical happy go lucky dude.
Very friendly and playful. He loves playing fetch and loves his toys.
This boy has been loved and well looked after, but unfortunately his owner couldn’t afford his upkeep.
Byron has skin allergies that have been very well managed and you wouldn’t know it AT all.
He does need medication daily.
A weekly medicated wash, with cleaning ears.
And his coat needs clipping every 6 weeks.
He needs a grain free dry food and a raw diet (yogurt ,sardines, raw meat).
This diet we would encourage all dog owners with or without skin allergies.
This is the regiment his previous owner has done and she rarely had any issues.
He is about knee high.
Byron has been crate trained at night.
We believe he needs a energetic home.
He would fit into a variety of homes, but this boy doesn’t want to be a couch potato all day.
We think another fur friend would be great for him, as he has blossomed in his foster carers home.
Byron is great with kids and other dogs.
We have been told he is good with cats but we haven’t tested him ourselves.
Overall a sweet boy that needs a family that understands and is financially able to continue his routine for his allergies.
Medical notes
Has a skin allergy that has been meticulously managed by previous owner.
Adoption details
We shortlist families who will fit the dogs needs and contact them to arrange an introduction. If everything works well, after a timeout to be sure, an adoption agreement is completed. As the adoption donation is transferred the dog will pass into your hands.
Our Adoption Donation Fees vary. Elderly animals or animals with health problems can differ from those for young or purebred dogs.
All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. They are bathed and groomed, and have had a consultation with our vet who discusses appropriate treatment which we arrange while the dog is in our care. All dogs are desexed at our expense.
We understand that in the first week, issues occasionally occur where training or behaviour modification is impractical and if no other recourse is available and the dog needs to be rehomed, we will agree to refund part of the adoption fee less $100 administration fee. Due to our system processes this will not be instantaneous but will go into your bank account within the next 10 working days.
After the sixth day, we require first refusal if the dog is to be found a different home, but you will not be eligible for a refund.
