Scout

Hi my name is Scout! I'm 2.5 years old and looking for a family to call my own.
I'm a happy boy from the country who would love to live with a doggie companion or a human friend who can take me for walks and provide me with some exercise. I am ball obsessed and love to play catch, I'm pretty good at air catching too, I'm sure I can play longer than you can! I'm currently living with foster kids who I really love and would love a family with school aged kids or an adult household who are not out all the time as I really like spending time with my people. I find cats very exciting especially when they run away from me so I am best suited to a home with no cats or small furry pets. I'm looking for a home where my people will be around during the day at least part of the week so I have someone to hang out with, lots of toys to keep me busy and to go for a walk or run each day to burn off some of my young dog energy, I'm a pretty active guy and like to have something to do so I don't get restless.
I know my basic commands, walk well on a leash, sit for my dinner, am toilet trained and I even know how to shake hands. I'm super smart and eager to please so looking forward to learning how to be your perfect companion. I would like a garden or outside area for play time that is fenced to keep me safe and would like to come inside with my family when they are home. I'm now used to sleeping in a dog crate inside at night and don't keep my foster family awake. I get along with large calm confident dogs but will compete for human love and attention so I will need to be tested with other resident dogs for compatibility. I've recently spent some time on a farm and really enjoyed my time out in the paddocks so would also be fine out on a rural property and my recall is good.
Most of all I love to be around people and especially love cuddles and being the center of attention, I give doggie kisses if I get half the chance and love a snuggle. I hope you will have room in your family for me. Looking forward to meeting you, Scout
