I've been adopted!
About Indi
Hey there! I'm Indi. I ""talk"" and love to sit and have a chat with you. I'm sweet as and have lots of love to give. I've just completed 4 weeks of basic obedience training. I loved it and did so amazingly well. The teacher and other dog owners all commented on how impressed they were with the improvement I made since I started. I enjoyed the mental challenge and the stimulation really tires out my brain and calms me. I even had a go at agility and scenting and showed just how incredibly smart I am and how willing I am to learn something new. I'd love to have ongoing training. If I'm adopted locally in Broome, Paws and Effect dog training is happy to have a session with my new owners, to show them how to maintain consistency with my training. I'll do anything for a treat and being so young have unlimited potential to learn new things. I already sit beautifully and wait for my dinner and am house trained. I like kids but because I'm still learning not to jump up on people, would be better with children 6 years plus who can make sure I'm following the rules. I'm a great alarm dog - only barking when people are at the house, not at passersby.
I love playing with my kong and other bouncy balls, as well as my teddies. I'm getting really good at learning to amuse myself when I'm home alone :) I love playing with my dog foster sisters, and am getting much better with my doggie manners when meeting new fur friends. I've been introduced to cats and think they're grrrreat!
At the moment, I have a problem with one of my hips. I'm sticking to gentle, simple exercise - so it's good that I have fairly low energy levels. The vet is keeping an eye on me and also recommended further investigations by my new adopter to develop a long term management strategy. I'm on a course of anti-inflammatories for now. You'll be able to talk to SAFE for an update. But hey, I'm happy to chill and watch TV at home after we've had some nice, gentle exercise. I'm fantastic on the lead. The kids in my foster home can easily walk me and I'm ready to go home again, before they get bored ;)
If you have another dog I'd like to meet them first. Your dog would need to be pretty confident and laid back so they teach me how to not be afraid of new things as I had a really rough start. But my confidence has grown in leaps and bounds thanks to my foster family! And if you don't have another dog, I'd like it if you continue to provide gentle socialisation and training.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth for around $150 airfare.
