About Buster
Stan & Buster
Staffy duo Stan (Blue) and Buster (Black) have lived together their whole lives, and they are the cutest, gentlest and most loving pair of dogs. Despite their age, they have good energy and absolutely love the excitement of going somewhere, in particular to the park to see other dogs and sniff new smells. They also enjoy the odd play with their younger staffy foster sisters and brothers. You'll see from the pictures, they're rarely separated. Stan and Buster are both cat friendly, as they lived with a cat and rabbit in their previous life. They get along so well with all dogs and are so relaxed and accommodating of other dogs. Being staffies, they both also absolutely adore people and love being patted and cuddled in the warmth of a house. As you can see they are often busted snuggling on the couch!
It is important that Stan and Buster stay together to retire, as they really love each other very much, and have been together a long time!
Stan is a laid back, cruizy boy who is really well behaved and polite. He politely asks for pats and melts when you give it to him. He can sit and drop on command, and knows his name.
Buster has such a beautiful temperament as well. He asks for pats and cuddles a little more forcefully, and he cries with excitement and joy when you give him what he wants. Buster requests assistance to jump into the car, however with a bit of confidence, support and practice, he should be able to do this independently. Buster’s hearing is not 100%, and therefore has difficulty to hear his name, however knows his name and can sit and drop on command with hand signals to assist.
Buster and Stan have previously lived their lives as outside dogs, so are both currently being toilet trained with improving success, and are starting “ask” to go to the toilet by letting their foster care know they want to go outside. They are expected to learn to always go to the toilet outside.
If you think you have a lovely, warm and friendly home for Buster and Stan to live out their retirements in, please feel free to contact Forever Friends Animal Rescue for further information or apply to adopt.
Note: Please read medical notes below for more information on their health.
Medical notes
Busters gait can be a little wobbly at times, but is happy and healthy for his age.
Stan has been diagnosed with cancer and has had most removed, except for a small amount that remains in his shoulder. He has also had some teeth removed.
