About Jack and Lilly ~ Labradors (pend. adoption)
Are you looking for a Labrador, would you consider two? Well if the answer is “yes” look no further! Please let me introduce you to these two beautiful souls - Jack and Lilly.
Jack is 4 years old, full of love with an easy demeanour and Lilly is 3 years old, super intelligent and more energetic so they compliment each other well.
These two are a bonded pair and cannot be separated. Lilly adores Jack and just can’t live without him. They are not related but Lilly has lived with Jack since a puppy.
Now Jack, loves, loves, loves food and as well known, labs put on weight very easily and yes, Jack is overweight. More of him to love I say but the vets have said he must lose weight so Jack is now on a diet! Due to his weight, Jack has an issue with his back knees and will need surgery on the left knee. DRN will cover the expense of this operation but we would love Jack and Lilly in their forever homes before we proceed (plus Jack needs to drop a few kilos ).
Lilly on the other hand is the right size, hmm we think Jack might share her food as well after he scoffs his!
Both Jack and Lilly are very friendly but have not been socialised well as pups and Lilly especially is quite overwhelmed when out walking. She can be a little anxious and will bark at strangers. We feel they have spent a great deal of their time left in a yard and not walked.Their carer has been spending lots of time walking them to get them use to it and has noticed a huge difference in them both so they will need guidance in this area and gradual exposure to the world. Walking harnesses are a must as they are both strong and do pull on lead.
Jack and Lilly have basic training and will sit, come when called and are toilet trained. They must be allowed to come inside and be part of the family. They would suit a family with older children or a semi retired couple.
If you would like to meet this gorgeous pair, please contact Gina by emailing gina_patterson91@hotmail.com Jack and Lilly are in foster care in Islington, NSW and are available for adoption interstate. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
