About Sticks
Sticks is a smiley, bum wiggling little treat!
She came to us with zero confidence and dangerously overweight. She would hide in a corner and look away until you got down real low and she felt the danger was gone. She didn't want to do much because her obesity was putting such a strain her body that it was uncomfortable.
Since Sticks has been in care, she has really started to shine! She will play with toys, interact, wiggle her WHOLE butt for a pat and enjoys just being a family dog.
She is good with other dogs. She plays a little with her Fox Terrier x foster brother but for the most part wants her human's attention. She has been exposed to livestock, which she stalks in typical Kelpie fashion, and she does the same to cats. She has not harmed a cat/livestock, however, we'd like to see her adopted to a home without cats/livestock so that she is not distracted by them and can continue to build on her confidence with you.
Sticks is looking for a home that will love her, understand her and give her a new lease on life. She'll need a home that will be committed to providing her a healthy diet to avoid weight gain, and understanding when she is feeling unsure.
This kelpie girl will make someone SO happy, and we're looking for her perfect family. Could it be you? :)
Medical notes
Sticks came in with some skin allergies and "collie nose". Her allergies are very minor and aided with prednisone should it be required. Her "collie nose" is no issue :)
