About Winter
*Only dog/pet household needed*
Winter is a smaller 4 year old female Alaskan Malamute looking for a new home. She looks like a lil Husky, but she definitely has the personality traits of a Mally girl!
She is the sweetest thing. She loves affection and snuggles, but will also happily give you the cold shoulder if she thinks you deserve it. Winter walks beautifully on lead and is social with other dogs when reminded about her manners. She loves to play zoomies and romp around, but is not much of a sharer so will need to be the only dog in the household for now, until she gets her confidence back and learns that sharing is caring.
Winter can be quite excitable around other dogs and children, and for this reason, will require a breed experienced home where any children are teens or older. She will thrive in a calm family that can offer her reassurance in stressful times such as during thunderstorms and when she struggles with new environments. For all her bravado, Winter needs guidance and encouragement to bring out her true Malamute confidence. She will need someone home more often than not and have access inside when nobody is home.
Winter has been known to escape in the past, so she will require a home with a reasonable size yard with 6 foot high, climb-proof and dig-proof and squeeze proof fencing.
