About Amity
Hello, my name is Amity! I made my way into the shelter in a humane cat trap, and was very unsure of my surroundings. I 'requested' a lot of alone time, and did not trust people enough to interact for a number of weeks. With some time, patience and love, I have come to realise that people are nice and usually come bearing cuddles and food! I am quite a vocal girl, I love to chat and talk back when you speak to me. I am very excited by affection, so much so that sometimes I don't know how to process my emotions and seem a little bit frantic! But I am hoping that when I am in my new home, with a set routine and as much love as I want, this will settle down. I have had limited contact with other cats, so it may be best for me to settle into a simple home with adults only, get my bearings there before I live with other animals. It is likely that I have never lived in a proper home before, so can I please ask that my new family show me how? I've heard about scary things like washing machines and vacuum cleaners.. are they really as bad as they seem? I'm a brave girl, I'm sure I'll be fine!
