About Wally
Where’s Wally??
Luckily he is here in foster care with us! He is completely adorable with an ever-wagging stumpy tail, and was a firm favourite of the Rangers at the rural pound he found himself in, after being picked up as a stray. His original owner (who bred him and sold him) didn’t bother to fill out the Change of Owner microchip form when she sold him, so when the Rangers contacted her, she had no information on the current owner.
Anyway, Wally was very happy to come to us, as we immediately unscrewed the ‘D’ ring holding the rusty, thick chain tightly around his neck, which obviously had been there a long time as his fur is rust stained, and this handsome boy now awaits the new fur growing through.
He is a very friendly, loyal chap, who is gorgeous with other dogs, both his size and smaller. He is very playful and absolutely LOVES going for walks on leash.....he is learning what a leash is still, and therefore learning not to pull. Wally will sit beautifully now when asked, before he has his food, and will be fantastic to train, as he thinks food is the best thing ever!
He travels really well, and will jump up into my vehicle when asked.
Wally needs his forever family to want him to be part of their family. He needs a daily walk or run, and would benefit from Obedience school or Puppy school as he would like to be taught skills to keep his brain active. If there was another dog already in the family, that would be terrific.
Please tell us as much as possible about yourselves and your lifestyle. How long would Wally be alone during the day? Do you have other pets? Any children?
We are located in Moree, northern NSW. We have daily flights to Sydney and beyond with JetPets, and fortnightly pet road transport with DogMovers. Both of these options are easy to arrange at new owners cost. Both companies will happily give you a quote.
