About Wally
Meet Wally, a 10.2 year old gentleman who is very much looking for a loving new home to help him get out of the pound. He is a real sweetheart that loves everyone he meets. He enjoyed all the attention we gave him when meeting him at the pound, lots of cuddles and belly rubs.
We are looking for a new home, either foster or adoption to get this dear older boy out of the pound. Wally is happy napping most of the day but he still has plenty of energy and needs his daily walks and mental stimulation.
Most recently Wally lived in the household with 3 cats and wasn’t too fussed about them. He has also lived with other dogs and would suit another canine companion to keep him company as long as they are not pushy or too invasive of his space. He will best suited with an easy-going female companion who can respect his limits. Or as an only dog.
Whilst in the pound, he has been diagnosed with moderate-severe arthritis that will require ongoing medication, but he doesn’t let this condition stop him, and he is looking forward exploring great outdoors with his new family. Wally has responded well to Cartrophen injections, he is receiving in the pound. We will continue this treatment with our vets.
Wally is looking for a home where his humans will be around more often than not, and he must be allowed inside as he just loves human interactions and doesn’t want to be left alone for long periods of time.
Secure dig proof backyard is a must.
Medical notes
Wally as been diagnosed with moderate-severe arthritis that will require ongoing medication, he has responded well to Cartrophen injections that will need to continue.
