About Maverick ~ Cattle Dog (on trial 7/7/19)
Meet Maverick, a 10 week old blue Cattle Dog puppy. This handsome man is a little bit shy but once he gets to know you, he will be your shadow.
Maverick is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been very well socialised with other puppies and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them. Maverick is not suitable for a home with cats or pocket pets as he thinks it's a game to chase them.
Maverick will grow up to be a medium/large dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Maverick will need a friendly adult dog of his size or bigger as a teacher, companion and playmate as he would be too lonely on his own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time. Maverick is almost toilet trained.
Maverick needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and due to his the love of chasing and nipping (so common for Cattle Dogs) is suitable for children 10 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Maverick is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Maverick, please phone his foster mum Robyn on 02 4953 7115 or email adoptmefromkelly@hotmail.com When calling, please leave a detailed message and Robyn ring you back. Maverick is in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle). You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Maverick's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
