Jedda

Sweet. Smart. Gentle. These are three words that sum up our gorgeous Jedda. She loves nothing more than being with her 'people' and taking a snooze next to the ones she loves. She is a clever girl and already knows how to sit for her dinner and come back when called, after only a week in foster care. She currently resides with another dog and gets along well with him, learning the polite way to behave around people. Jedda has been exposed to children and was very well behaved when around 'little people'.

As a fit and active puppy, Jedda suits a family willing to invest the time into training and exercise to keep her mind and body fit and active. Being still young, she is a little boisterous and jumps, but will quickly calm down when told. With her smarts and a little training, she will learn the correct way to greet people, even when she is so so excited to see you!!! She can be a little shy around new people, however once she feels confident and gets used to new environments her beautiful personality comes out.

Jedda would be best suited to a fit and active family who will truly make her 'one of the family' and shower her with love. She is very easy going and loves spending time with people, and likewise happy to relax on her own in her favourite chair. She is not a needy dog, so part time or full time workers would be equally suitable provided she can be with her family when people are home.

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me "no" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.

It's always hard to know with rescue pups and mixed breed pups exactly how big we'll grow to, so SAFE estimates our eventual size.

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth for around $150 airfare.
