About Tyson
Tyson is a fun-loving, affectionate and friendly 16 months old boy. He is mostly Great Dane however we believe one of his parents was a cross breed. Tyson is a giant dog but certainly has some filling out to do and will do this on a good diet, hopefully over the next couple of months.
As an adolescent, Tyson loves to run and play in open spaces and this is what he’s used to. He hasn’t spent much time on lead before but did particularly well when he had a try of a halti recently. In typical Great Dane fashion, Tyson would love to be inside with his new family. He is partly toilet trained but hasn’t had all that much time inside so may will need a little extra guidance in the early days.
Tyson has lived with small kids and for a giant pup has done well although he would need to learn the all-important skill of sitting quietly on his bed while inside if he were to join a family with smaller children. For this reason, we’d consider him only for an experienced giant dog home if they have children to ensure the time is taken to teach the new inside skills required around kids.
Tyson currently wears a boundary collar which keeps him contained behind rural fencing. He is friendly towards neighbouring dogs although has been taunted by one which is a small fluffy dog. If we were to consider him with another dog, a large dog would suit best. He’s played well with other dogs who have come to visit and is a good-natured dog.
Cats are not something he’s had anything to do with, this would be new territory and all precautions would need to be taken.
Tyson loves people, affection and food. If you have some good space for this giant friendly goofball to play his games and are keen to train up an eager young giant dog to be a model canine citizen, give me a call.
