Location: Chambers Flat, QLD
Tucker is a beautiful natured dog with the looks to match. He spent most of his young life on a chain, until his owners decided to surrender him to give him a better life. Due to this he unfortunately has not experienced as much as other pups his age. Things that are normal to you and other dogs can frighten him. So when introducing him to new things he does need a little extra reassurance and lots of pats. He is very smart, and it does not take him long to gain confidence in these situations.
Tucker sits for pats and does not jump or bark. He loves to be close to you, either walking next to you around the garden or laying down with his head on your lap. For a big excited pup he is actually very gentle, he hasn’t even knocked the little kids over.
Tucker’s ideal family would have to be very active, his working dog breed means he will need a lot of exercise, off leash running everyday. You will also have to continue his socialisation and slow introduction to new places.
Even with his less then ideal start to life, he still loves everyone he meets and is very friendly with other dogs and he even likes cat.

Tucker has had the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ C5 Vaccination
~ Microchipped

~ All-Wormed

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
