About Peppi
*Located in Cairns*
Dog friendly: Yes- slow introduction
Cat friendly: No
Kid friendly: Yes very gentle
House trained: Currently an outside only dog
Energy level: Medium/High
Fencing requirements: 6ft
Peppi has blossomed in foster care, coming in as an adult she had lots of new tricks to learn. The one thing she hasn’t stopped loving is her ball! Peppi could spend all day dropping the ball at your feet ready for the next throw. She also loves playing hide and find the ball, though she quickly locates it in your hidden pants pocket or hand. She is a typical working dog who doesn’t like to sit down very often and is always busy looking for her next adventure!
Although Peppi doesn’t live with kids she seems to seek them out for attention. She isn’t overly a cuddly dog though and prefers to show her affection by doing things like playing and walking with her humans. Peppi can still be unsure of dogs she doesn’t know and prefers smaller dogs, as they are less threatening. With time and direction, she settles quickly.
Peppi will need relatively reasonable sized fencing as she does like to test where there may be an escape, especially if her foster Mum is leaving the house without her. Peppi broke her foot when she first came into care, which required an operation and 6 weeks rest with a splint on. She is on the mend now and with a bit of swimming and more exercise she should make a great recovery. Lucky she enjoys a swim at the local park, even if it is cold! Peppi is crate trained, because of her time needed to rest and recover after her operation.
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle and intuitive little pooch then Peppi would be perfecting for a new loyal furry friend with a beautiful heart then look no further.
