About Teddy
Teddy is a big loveable smoocher with a massive zest for life. At three years old he is out of that crazy puppy stage but still loves to play and has plenty of living left to do!
Teddy is a gentle giant (30-35kg) with a lovely scruffy coat! He enjoys spending his days hanging out with his two dog foster siblings who he gets along well with. Of an evening, Teddy loves a cuddle on the couch, and insists on being tucked into his bed at bedtime. He loves to be close to his family and will follow you everywhere (who needs privacy in the bathroom?).
Teddy is house trained and knows how to behave indoors. He knows commands such as sit, come, stay, go to bed and waits patiently for his dinner until given the ok. He walks very well using a halti and enjoys getting out and about daily with his family, whether it be on a bush walk or in the city!
Teddy's perfect home would be one where he is included in the day to day goings on of the family. His new owner will need to be familiar and confident with large dogs. He can be rehomed with or without another dog, but will need stimulation and enrichment if left without a friend while his family are out, as he will find his own fun if he's bored! He is very good with children of all ages and sizes and knows to be gentle around them. He really loves attending obedience classes and other fun activities with his people so it would be great if this was continued.
Teddy is currently in care with cats. He is extremely interested and can get fixated and over excited when around them, so will need a bit of training to show him what is expected. Please keep this in mind if cats are in your home and you're applying for Teddy.
If you're looking for a gentle giant to greet you happily when you wake up, join you on adventures and snuggle at the end of the day, Teddy is definitely the dog for you!
