About Fletcher 🐧
This adorable little man is Fletcher.....he's our 16 week old Blue Faced Pied Frenchie, and quite the little charmer! Fletcher is in care with cats and hasn't been too phased about his feline friends. He would be best suited to a home where he had the company of another smaller, playful dog, and a decent size yard to run around. He can be shy when meeting new people, but doesn't take long to warm up. Fletcher is a very sweet and gentle pup who loves the company of his humans more than anything.
Fletcher loves his treats and is proving to be quite a clever little boy. He has almost mastered 'sit' and currently being crate trained in his foster home. We are also going through the process of toilet training, which will need to be continued in his new home.
As with most pups, everything he finds in his path is given the chew test, so plenty of chew toys and tasty bones will need to be on hand. Whilst Fletcher enjoys spending time outside, the French Bulldog breed are primarily inside dogs. They adore their humans and often expect that your bed is also their bed.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs. Fletcher will be having a spinal Xray when he goes in for Desex to check for Hemivertibrae of the spine, which is a common issue with the breeds who have the curly tails.
We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation for Fletcher and also someone who understands the needs and health issues of the French Bulldog. He will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boyl. Fletcher will only be a small dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we are sure that he will grow up to be an extremely loyal, well mannered family member.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours llike toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
So if you've done your research and decided that you can provide everything this boy needs, please send us an enquiry. Fletcher is booked in for desex on 7th June and will be available to take home from 9th June. He is located in Kariong on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
