About Meg
Name: Meg
Sex: Female
Age: 2.5 Years
Breed: Australian Cattle dog
Why Meg is in care: Meg was brought into care as part of our last litter program – so no more babies for this beautiful girl. She was found by some lovely people pregnant and starved – they were able to take her in and care for while her babies grew in her belly. Once pups and mum were old enough she was brought into care.
Energy Level: Low to medium. She loves to have a play but also loves to nap!
Introvert or Extrovert: Introvert out in the world. Extrovert in her home.
Best Physical Features: Her eyes! Meg can just give you a look of pure love when she is happy.
Dog friendly: Meg is very dog friendly with other dogs apart from her ‘bed’ she is protective of her area – but as long as another dog is respectful of that – she is very very good with other dogs.
Cat / bird friendly: We are going to say no – she will happily chase them if they are there.
Child friendly: Meg is awesome with kids – she is happy to play with them – play near them – sleep with them – near them – she loves kids.
Favourite Personality Traits: Loves playing fetch but she isn’t obsessed or just hanging out with people. She is very easy to be around. Meg sits and waits for her food (a little secret – Meg is very food motivated so training is easy). She loves to run around with the others and then chill out by herself.
Working on: Dinner time – Meg is not keen on sharing her food with another dog
Ideal Family: A family that will allow her to be part of them – one that will allow her, her bed and understand she doesn’t want to share that.
A family who would play with her but also just chillax with her.
Toilet Trained: Yes
Location: Brisbane

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
