About Bucks
Bucks is a beautiful Kelpie pup full of life and love.
He has beautiful markings to match his coat.
Bucks is a happy pup, gets along with other dogs but preferably ones his size or bigger. Little dogs Might find his exuberance overwhelming.
Bucks loves the company of people, and a snuggle on the couch once he has expended some energy in typical kelpie style.
A female active companion would also be desirable.
Bucks loves to go for a walk, and great to run with. Birds, dogs or people don't phase him too much except for a polite greeting, then he's happy to continue on his way. Bucks will sit for food, shake hands and just recently started to sit on command on the lead. He is very smart, and loving, and does love to play with toys. In puppy fashion anything is fair game so he will need directed stimulation. Using food dispensing toys to use his brain.
He likes to be close to his family so ideally a home that has him inside when you’re at home, but he won't give you sleepless nights with barking.
Bucks is great with kids, and just loves to play and lick. Not tested with cats.
Bucks will be a wonderful and loyal addition to a welcoming family.
Bucks is a kelpie and will require exercise on an ongoing basis so if you do not have the time or motivation to do this please do not apply
Kelpies are incredibly smart dogs and Bucks is no exception. He’ll thrive in agility and is more than up to the challenge of obedience training. Like so many of these dogs giving them a “job” will help to reduce unwanted behaviours and channel his energy. Daily runs or training him to run beside a bike would be great asset.
