About Duke 💙
This sweet natured, long legged handsome boy is on the search for his Forever home....Deagan is a mix of Great Dane x Bull Mastiff x Greyhound and has the most piercing two tone eyes.
His foster home consists of 1 small host dog, 3 other foster dogs (which includes his sister, Doli), cats, birds, young children visiting regularly, and of course his foster mum. He is learning the routine and follows simple instructions well. Duke is learning to sit on command, leash training and he's working hard at toilet training. With consistency and effort, he will have this perfected in no time. He is crate trained at night and currently sleeps with his sister snuggled up together.
Duke enjoys rumbling with his doggie friends, playing with his toys and pleasing his humans. He has shown some food aggression with his sibling since arriving in care, but once he realises that he will get enough food to fill his belly, this should settle.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Duke will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a large dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Duke would be best suited to a home where he had the company of his humans or another doggie companion. He will need a medium to large yard with secure height appropriate fencing and a family who will commit to his training. Due to his fair coloured coat, he will need sunscreen applied to his ears and coat to protect him from the sun.
Duke is located in Bateau Bay, on the Central Coast NSW and looking forward to meeting you! He is booked in for desex on Thursday 6th June so will be ready to head off to his forever home from the 8th June.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
