Tonka

Tonka is a staff favourite. She has been with us for a few weeks, recovering from a broken leg. Tonka struggled a little as no Kelpie does 'rest and quiet' very well, but overall she has been a very good girl! Tonka, like most Kelpies, has boundless energy and will likely develop a high working drive. If they are not provided with plenty of exercise, games and enrichment they will become destructive in order to entertain themselves.

Consequently, we recommend that working breed dogs are best suited to active families, runners and bike riders. These dogs are not suited to apartment or townhouse living. We recommend Tonka for a family with children 10 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

The adoption fee for Tonka is $550.00 which helps to cover the cost of her mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
