Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Nero
Nero is a typical frenchie.
Excitable, emotional, loving, independent but needy, snorty and snuffly.
He loves a good walk and a good lay down.
He loves all kinds of food and if he’s hot will stick his face in his water bowl and blow bubbles.
He’s quite good with other dogs and would do well in a house with a suitable canine friend. He’s unfamiliar with cats and we haven’t been able to test him out.
He has had an abusive past and he is not suited to a home with children. He needs a calm, predictable environment and routine. He doesn’t like to be grabbed at (who does?!), and he can be uncomfortable with strangers. I guess you’d call him an introvert, who appears like an extrovert.
He will need ongoing training to keep his independent frenchie nature in check. He walks well in a harness, sits and is practising his recall.
We would prefer a home with breed experience as frenchies are quite a different personality.
Nero is a funny, stocky, enthusiastic, playful, bouncy little guy.
Because we anticipate many inquiries for this guy we thought we’d save time and ask those interested in adopting him to answer the below questions and email them to adopthomelesshounds@gmail.com We invite you to add any information that you think is relevant about yourself and what Nero’s homelife would be like.
Thank you 😊

Medical notes
Nero has had chronic ear infections which we have successfully treated. As a result he is cautious about handling around his ears. We expect his anxiety of that will reduce when he realises being touched around his ears no longer hurts.
He is microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and has been treated for worms and fleas. He is in good health.
