About Jack
Hi there I am the jolly Jack,
I was sadly surrendered to the shelter when my family moved from a property to a small suburban backyard. Understandably being an active breed on my own all day I was becoming bored and barking which was making the neighbors unhappy, so sadly my owner surrendered me in hopes of me finding a better home.
Being your typical high energy and smart working breed I will ideally be best suited to another home on property as that is where I am happiest. I am used to living and being around chooks, pigeons, sheep, goats and horses. However I would occasionally like to play chasies with the horses.
Just because I am used to living on property does not mean that I couldn't adjust to suburban living, however my new family/owner must be active and be dedicated to my needs and well being. I will require daily runs/ bike rides /doggy daycare and lots mental simulation when I am home alone so that I do not bark. Another dog for company is also recommended.
I have previously worked livestock but have not done so in about 12 months.
I can sit on command and am very responsive to my name and attentive to my handler.
I LOVE toys!
I am social with all other dogs but not overly interactive with them, if you do have another dog at home please bring them into meet me to ensure we will be the best of friends.
I used to live in an area with lots of roaming feral cats so I am to fond of them.
I was previously a mainly outside dog but I did like to come inside.
So do you have space in your heart and home for me?
